Travel restrictions impeded its spread, but it was gradually gaining traction in other parts of England. Women’s Cricket dates all the way back to 1745 when the first documented game was played in Surrey.
The major rules and Laws of the game of Cricket were formed in 1744. These rules were consequently revised in 1774. It was done to embrace originalities such as a third stump, leg before wicket.
