Lagori (Seven Stones): An Ingenious game India, getting lost in time: Lagori is a team game that developed in India’s southernmost region. The sport is exclusively practiced on a leisure basis, and it is a popular outdoor game. PittuGaram is one of the various names associated with the sport (meaning 7 stones).

Lagori/Pithoo is a strong outdoor team sport popular among both rural and urban youngsters in most sections of the country. This game is particularly popular among young kids with age 5 and up. Other names for this game include Sitoliya, Lagori, SaatPatha, EzhuKallu, Lingocha, DabbaKal, and others.

Lagori is played by two squads, with the help of seven stones and a ball, with the least number of 3 and a maximum of 9 players on an individual team. Each side has nine opportunities to take down the pebbles that are placed vertically from around a distance of nearly 20ft, with three players taking three attempts each. If one side is unable to knock down the stones, the following team is given the opportunity to throw.

Playing Instructions:

This is a game of the finder and the hitter, each with at least three players. It is played in the middle of a tiny circle, flat pebbles of various sizes are placed on top of one another in increasing order, with the tiniest on top.

The two groups remain at least a meter apart on either end of the circle’s perimeter. Each competitor from the team of Seekercan makes three attempts to procedure the ball to eliminate the pebble pile. If one person falls, the next player comes in and takes his turn. When some of the Seeker teammates miss the target of the stones, the ball is passed to the opposing team.

The excitement begins when a member of the Seeker team distributes the pebbles by striking with the ball. The Seeker team’s goal at this stage is to re-arrange the pebble-pile back before the Hitter team strikes some of the Seeker teammates with the orb. If a participant is hit first before the pile is finished, The entire team is eliminated and the teams switch positions. This is recurrent for a fixedpassé of time. The team that has repaired the most heaps wins.
