East Bengal dominate NorthEast United ISL 2022-23: Following two successive losses to start the campaign, East Bengal FC pick up a crucial victory ahead of a high-voltage derby. The Red & Gold Brigade claimed their first victory after 11 matches with their last victory coming against FC Goa on 19 January 2021. East Bengal dominated NorhEast United as Cleiton, Kyriacou, and Jordan found the back of the net while Matt Derbyshire settled with a consolation for the highlanders. Substitute Mobashir’s run at the heart of NorthEast United’s defense allowed Jordan to be one v one against Arindam. The Aussie was calm enough to slot past the keeper, securing a three-goal lead. Meanwhile, NorthEast United a consolation through Matt Derbyshire who scored from a corner by Emil Benny.

Both Kolkata Giants had a comprehensive victory over their opponents in the last match which eventually spiced up a mouth-watering Kolkata derby that will be held on 290 October 2022.
