KKR launches a short film ahead of its first match KKR Conqueror

‘Covid Conqueror’:

‘The Covid Conqueror’ is a short docu-film, featuring Nitish Rana and many other members of team KKR, Basically, it aims to capture the effect of Covid on the game and the players in the team.

This year KKR gives fans the ultimate insight into the game through a series of short films produced by Kolkata Knight Riders in partnership with Amazon Pay. So, The energetic, passion-fueled films give fans access to the game in a full no holds barred way. Moreover, They will get an insight into the minds of players, coaches, support staff, and the team dynamics.

Nitish Rana, who fought Covid this year and made a spectacular comeback on the field, says, “Covid has affected everyone in different ways. So, I am just thankful to have come out of it healthy and have the opportunity to play the game. Moreover, I missed the cheer of the KKR fans, which fueled all of us on and off the field. This film is a small effort to give the fans a genuine picture of what it means to be a team. I look forward to a great season this year, especially with fans cheering us from the stands. I am sure the energy will be electric”.

Venky Mysore, CEO & MD, Kolkata Knight Riders, says, “KKR has one of the most loving and emotionally charged fan communities. So, they have always supported us, be it through the highs or the lows. With the fans missing out on watching the games from the stands earlier, we have been striving to keep them regularly close to what’s going on in the KKR camp and hence began KKR Films. Moreover, With fans back in the stands for the remaining season, it’s going to be a momentous occasion.”

Moreover, KKR has already released four films this year. So, The first was ‘Smooth Transition,’ the true story behind the mid-season change in captaincy from DK to Morgan. Then, ‘Russell: The Knight of Eden,’ based on Andre Russell’s journey from a rookie cricketer to the T20 giant he has become at KKR. However, The third was “The Year of Change”, about how KKR played in the IPL bio bubble in 2020, and more recently, ‘We Are KKR’ was an ode to the philosophy that runs the KKR family. Cumulatively over 20 million+ views, the films showcase that KKR has connected with the fans like never before, and the fans will always be at the core of the KKR Family.  Basically, this is the base of KKR Conqueror Film.
