IPL has been a vital stage for young players because the coveted T20 tournament provides them a grand stage to showcase their talent in front of the world.

Several young cricketers have attained the spotlights with their performances in the Indian Premier League. IPL 2021 auction witnessed several young players taking part in the tournament.

Here we will have a look at the 5 youngest players who will play in IPL IPL 2021 season 14:

1. Aakash Singh : Age 18 

Akash Singh was bought by Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021 auction. The 18-year-old player was bought at Rupees Twenty lakh. Akash Singh plays as a left-arm pacer who had represented India in the U-19 Asia Cup in 2019. Akash Singh was previously bought by Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020 too; however he didn’t get any opportunity to play any game. This time, however, Akash Singh will have the opportunity to feature in the first XI of RR team.

 

 

2. Mujeeb Ur Rahman: Age 19

19-year-old Mujeeb Ur Rahman will don Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey in IPL 2021. The Afghanistan spinner was bought by SRH at a hefty price of for Rs. 1.5 crore during IPL 2021 auction. This will be the third IPL appearance for Mujeeb. In his maiden IPL appearance back in 2018, Mujeeb Ur Rahman attained accolades with fourteen wickets from eleven games. In IPL 2021, Mujeeb is ready spin his magic for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

 

 

3. Yashasvi Jaiswal: Age 19

Yashasvi Jaiswal is another youngster who is going to be a part of IPL season 14. The 19-year-old talented cricketer was bought by Rajasthan Royals team in IPL 2020 auction for Rs. 2.4 crore. He had played only three matches for RR in IPL 2020. Yashasvi Jaiswal came to the limelight once again when he was awarded man of the Tournament for his spectacular performance at the U-19 tournament 2019 held in South Africa. Jaiswal who plays as a left-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler can prove to be a key player for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021.

 

4. Marco Jansen : Age 20 

All-rounder Marco Jansen was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs. Twenty lakh in IPL 2021 auction. The 20-year-old South African cricketer plays as a right-handed batsman and left-arm pacer. Macro Jansen’s height is what getting him all the limelight in the IPL. Standing at 6 feet 8 inch tall, Jansen could become a real threat for batsmen with the ball in hand for MI.

 

 

 

 

 

5. Arjun Tendulkar: Age 21

At 21-year-old Arjun Tendulkar is all set to feature in IPL 14 for his favorite franchise Mumbai Indians. Being the son of famous cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, expectation will be very high from Tendulkar junior to perform in the IPL 14, if he gets a chance.
