Calisthenics Workouts: Build muscles without stepping into Gym

If you are worried about your fitness regime getting affected due to lockdown and if you are unable to access Gym, then do not worry as Calisthenics workouts can really help you achieve that desired body without even going to Gym ever. Calisthenic : Build muscles without Gym

What is Calisthenics workout?

Calisthenics is a method of exercise where the weight of body is used in a certain way to get maximum resistance with gravitational force to build muscle. Notwithstanding to what you may have been told by the marketing ploys, you do not need a state of art gym membership or costly apparatus to build the exact muscle classification that you’ve always sought but could never could come up with the money for.

Why not just lift weights like everyone else?

Well, not everybody has the same goals. Lifting weights trains your body differently than a calisthenic routine does, it trains your muscles to have explosive force, which is great if that is what you want. Calisthenics, on the other hand, trains your muscles for endurance.

Are Calisthenic workouts right for me?

What are your fitness goals? Do you want to get better at sports? If you play baseball and want to be able to hit a home run with ease, you’d probably want to lift weights. If you are into running, biking, or swimming, and want to build more strength and endurance, then a calisthenic routine would probably be best for you.

Is your goal to look big and bulky or lean but strong? You need to think about what it is you want to do with your muscles. If it seems like having explosive force would be more useful, then look into a good weightlifting routine and get started.

If you like the idea of having endurance and have much better control of your body, give calisthenics a try. If you aren’t sure what you want, there is no reason not to do a hybrid routine of sorts. Do what you enjoy, I’m obviously biased towards calisthenics because it’s what I enjoy most.

What are some good beginner Calisthenic exercises?

Any exercise that you will be able to do with the help of weight and gravitational force can be categorized as Calisthenic exercise.

Most likely, we all know few Calisthenic exercises already, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and squats are all comes under the umbrella of calisthenic workouts. Though it may seem very basic but there is actually a lot can be achieved with the help of calisthenics, and you would be glad to know that every main muscle group can be worked out with just four exercises.

  • Push-ups
  • Pull-ups
  • Squats
  • Sit-ups

Doing those four basic exercises for a prolonged period may at times get boring. Therefore you may add variations in these basic exercises or even combine these exercises to form your own set of workout to avoid boredom. However, doing these Calisthenics Workouts can help you get desired results as equivalent to doing hardcore exercises in Gym with the help of various apparatuses. That may be correct for certain people, providentially, there are hundreds of variances of those four core exercises.

Now don’t go thinking that if you work really hard for a week and a half you’ll be able to bust those abs out like nothing. Getting to that particular point where you can flaunt your washboard abs that takes time, determination, and patience.
